Common questions

Questions, answered plainly

The things people ask before they open an account, and the answers we would give over the phone.

Is Gainverance legitimate? What you can check yourself

Is Gainverance a scam?

No, but do not take our word for it. Before you deposit anything, check three things: where client money is held, whether a payout returns to the method you paid with, and whether every cost is named before you confirm. All three are answered on this page, and you can hold us to them.

Is my money kept separate from the company?

Yes. Client deposits sit in a segregated account, apart from company funds, with regulated payment partners, so they are never used to run the business. That does not remove market risk, a position can lose value, and no honest platform will tell you otherwise.

How long does it take to withdraw profits?

A payout returns to the same method you deposited with, normally within one business day once KYC checks are complete. You do not have to explain why you are withdrawing.

How do I know if Gainverance is regulated?

Orders are routed through broker partners operating under IIROC-equivalent CIRO oversight and the OSC. Ask your analyst for the specific licence details before you deposit, any licence can be checked on the public register yourself.

What is the catch, how does Gainverance earn money?

From a spread on completed orders and from paid training, and from nothing else. We take no share of your deposit and we do not earn when a position loses. Every cost is shown before you confirm it.

Minimum deposit to start investing

C$350 is the minimum first deposit. It is kept deliberately low so you can start small and add to your portfolio later. The exact figure is shown again before you confirm anything.

What happens to my money if markets crash?

Open positions can lose value, since capital is always at risk in investing. Your analyst reviews your risk profile and asset allocation and can adjust exposure, but no strategy removes volatility entirely.
